Speed Scrap

Looking for a place to hang out and scrap this weekend?  Look no further!  Come join in on the fun at Stuff to Scrap!

And just for scrapping with us you’ll get this Add-On to an upcoming kit by IvoryKeys Digital Dreams!

Well, this went easier than I expected. I gathered all my supplies to go with the vision I had in my head.

I intend on making another pincushion, so I pulled two cups to use. I wanted to use the buttons to show through the clear glass and add some color as well. I hunted down every pink colored button I had and even a few cream colored ones.
I measured my cups and added 1/2″ seam allowance. Then I sewed and stuffed my circle until it was over-full then sewed it shut. I added buttons on either side for decoration.
Once finished, it just needed to be glued in place. It turned out just like the picture I had in my head and I absolutely love it! I can’t wait to make more.

Slide

Slide, originally uploaded by Deejj.

I took about 20 minutes to time everyone coming down the slide in hopes I would catch my son in an action shot. I succeeded on the first try. There are four slides at this pool and this is the fastest one at around 1.5 seconds from entrance to exit. This is Memorial Pool in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Mel has released a gorgeous new kit called My Girl. I do not even have a layout for this kit yet. I wanted to share it with you because it is on sale until July 31 for $2.50.

And even though I don’t have a layout, here are some layouts created by my fellow creative team members.

Independence

Journaling reads: Mom contracted polio at 18 months. She suffered through multiple surgeries and leg braces just to be able to walk. All she wanted to do was be able to walk and play like all the other kids. The brace that everyone always teased her about not only made her independent then, but she continues to be independent today. Her favorite words are “I can do it”.
