Cathy tagged me for a meme a while back and I totally forgot about it. She gently reminded me about it today and also gave me an award. So here are seven, hopefully new, things you never knew about me.

1. Even though I was not born and raised in the south, I speak with a slight southern accent. It gets worse when I am around those who have a more pronounced accent, or I’m drunk.

2. My first paid job was babysitting.

3. I was the only girl grill cook at McDonald’s when I was 16.

4. I don’t like to drive.

5. I can bend my thumb and forefinger joints at 90 degree angles.

6. I have worn glasses for an astigmatism since I was six years old.

7. I have only had surgery once in my life and it was elective.

Cathy is the person passing on this award to me and you can find her here.

I’m not sure who my dedicated followers are other than Cathy. I used to have quite a few but they seem to have disappeared. If you are a follower of my blog, please feel free to make yourself known. I would love to know who you are!

Edited to add: I suck! I forgot about one of my bestest friends in Canada who does not have an accent!! These are the five people listed inĀ a specificĀ folder in my Google Reader.

1. Andrea
2. Christy
3. Jenne
4. Kristin
5. Amy

Hey, I;m still reading. :) Glad you opened up comments cuz it always gave me issues.

And I have an aversion to memes, REMEMBER?

I’ll tell people you don’t have an accent if you tell people I don’t have one. :P

  2. Cathy Says:

YAY!!!! I can FINALLY talk to you, DJ!!!! :) I tried several times before I left for vacation, wasn’t sure if it was broke or I just didn’t understand it (I’m not exactly too smart that way ~ ya know, having to do a math problem to leave you a comment is tough enough for me!! heehee)

So now I know another person who doesn’t like to drive, actually I know quite a few, but my husband thinks I’m weird because I get all stressed out in traffic.

I hope Emily’s trouble at school is fixed ~ bless her heart!! Life is hard enough at that age.

Thanks for playing the meme game!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
    Hugz,
    Cathy
