Addendum
Well she’s itching. I’ve had to cut off her fingernails. I’ve got Aveeno, cornstarch and Benadryl. So far she’s handling everything pretty well.
Something I didn’t mention before: she’s had the Varicella vaccination. The doctor told me 15% of those vaccinated will still get chickenpox. We weren’t totally convinced that she wouldn’t so I’m not totally surprised at her breaking out with them. I am hoping it will be a mild case but was told it could take longer to go away because she was vaccinated. Oh well, the life of a mom.
It will take three weeks before we see if Nicholas has gotten them. Until then, those two are bosom buddies. If he gets them, he won’t have to be vaccinated before school starts. It’s not mandatory for school, only daycare, but I’d like some level of prevention if necessary.
